The Oxford & District Lions are true local legends, and now the whole country knows it too! Hamish from Good Sorts (TVNZ) recently visited these community heroes to capture their incredible efforts on screen.
Since the beginning of our partnership, the Lions have donated over 62,000 kgs of fresh produce—grown, harvested, and shared with aroha.
Their generosity has helped stock local food banks, support community meal providers, and nourish countless whānau across North Canterbury. What started with seed funding from Food Secure North Canterbury has flourished into a powerful collaboration tackling food insecurity head-on.
Their dedication is inspiring, and seeing them recognised on Good Sorts is a proud moment for everyone who knows the impact of their mahi. Ka pai, Oxford & District Lions—your commitment to feeding our community is nothing short of incredible!
